Mike Beijar (pronounced Bear) has worked continuously in marine surveying since 1976.

Mike is a CMS (Certified Marine Surveyor) member of NAMSGlobal (The National Association of Marine Surveyors), receiving CMS status in 1982.

In mid 2008, because NAMS CMS member surveyor's home ports were located worldwide, NAMS became NAMSGlobal, an International Association of Marine Surveyors.

Mike has served on the Board of Directors of NAMS representing the Southeast Region, once as the RVP (Regional Vice-President) and twice as a Director at-large.

Mike Beijar Marine Surveyor primarily conducts Condition & Value surveys on private pleasure and small commercial craft for individual and corporate clients.

Mike Beijar Marine Surveyor also performs other types of surveys including Damage Surveys (for insurance company adjusters and private loss control personnel), Marine Appraisals (typically for lending institutions) and new construction inspections on yachts and small commercial craft. Mike also conducts inspections on docks, wharves, piers, etc.
